Nursery
Here at Clayton Valley Church, our goal for the nursery is to provide a safe, clean and loving environment for all children we are privileged to have in our care. We feel it is important to give children a positive start when they come to church, and we want to do our best to make their first experience in church a happy one.
Our fully staffed nursery care is provided from birth to 36 months during Sunday School 9:00 AM and Worship Service 10:30 AM. The “infant” nursery includes a play and sleep area for newborns up to 1 year of age. The “toddler” nursery is stocked with safe, clean toys for babies who are walking and toddlers who have not passed their 3rd birthday. The Infant-Toddler Nursery is located on the main level between the Worship Center and the Maranatha Room.
Sunday School Program
Sunday mornings from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM
Children will be lovingly introduced to Jesus Christ and encouraged in their spiritual development from birth through 5th grade. Caring relationships are emphasized among children, teachers, and co-workers as we work toward goals and spiritual growth.
Children's Church
We believe that kids learn the most about worshiping God from Mom and Dad and so encourage families to participate in corporate worship together. During the Sunday morning service at 10:30 children 3yrs old – 4th grade attend church with their parents for the initial portion of the service. At an appointed time early in our service (before the message), an announcement will be made dismissing children 3yrs old through 4th Grade to meet their Children’s Church teacher in the lobby. Their teachers will escort them to class. The children in these classes will enjoy active learning that emphasizes loving relationships. This ministry lays a strong foundation in helping our little ones to understand how to live biblically. Parents will pick up their children from their respective classes at the conclusion of service.
If you are concerned about your kids making noise or “misbehaving” while together with adults in the morning worship service, let us put your mind at ease. We think kids need to be allowed to be kids. We welcome them and their noises during our worship service because we see the value of teaching our children to worship the Lord together with the family of God.
AWANA
Thursday nights from 6:45 to 8:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall is an international Bible-centered youth ministry providing local churches with weekly clubs and programs for pre-schoolers through the 6th grade. The word AWANA stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” and comes from 2 Timothy 2:15. “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.”
AWANA is designed to encourage your child’s spiritual development and includes a competitive awards program. The goal is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.
For more than 30 years, Clayton Valley Church has been dedicated to meeting the spiritual needs of the people in our community through the transforming power of the Good News of Jesus Christ. Clayton Valley Church is very pleased to have the AWANA program as an integral part of our Children’s Ministries. With its central focus on the Lord Jesus Christ and its various age-appropriate activities, children come to a saving knowledge of the Lord and have fun doing it!
