David's primary ministry focuses on maintenance of the equipment and facilities associated with the Goroka Baptist Bible College and the ABWE field including missionary housing, the medical clinic, and vehicles associated with the work in Papua New Guinea. He and his wife Dennise are also active in teaching a religious instruction class at an international school and are currently running an AWANA program, which they started in 2004. Dennise is also acting as the assistant treasurer doing bookkeeping and accounting tasks for the ABWE field.

David and Dennise Rhoads have three daughters, Megan (19), Kara (18), and Rachel (15). Megan and Kara are currently attending The Master's College in Santa Clarita, California. Rachel their youngest daughter, is attending Numonohi Christian Academy there in Papua New Guinea.
