Bill Herzog, Pastor Emeritus
Pastor Herzog has three children and seven grandchildren. The Lord used Pastor Herzog to plant churches in Indiana and California, as well as our own Clayton Valley Church. Pastor Herzog can build anything you ask him to, and is a tremendous ministerial asset. He is now retired and serving at Clayton Valley Church. Praise God!
Pastor Herzog's life verse is Hebrews 13:6
"Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He himself has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you."

Josh Francis, Director of Student Ministries
Josh came to know the Lord when he was 15, and is a man with a servant's heart. He and his wife Laura, a local school teacher, have been married six years and have served together in various capacities of student ministry since 1998. As the Director of Student Ministries, Josh has a desire to adequately equip our students to become independently dependent on Christ.
Josh is currently working toward his Bachelors of Science in Religion by taking classes at Diablo Valley College and Liberty University. In his spare time, he enjoys being with friends and family, camping, and other outdoor activities. josh@claytonvalleychurch.com
Josh's life verse is Philippians 4:8, which speaks of godly thinking, "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things".
Nancy Sanders, Receptionist
Nancy started part time employment at Clayton Valley Church in the fall of 2004, after finding herself almost an empty nester. Nancy is married, has three grown children and two wonderful grandchildren. She and her husband Phil have been attending Clayton Valley Church since 1976 and have seen many people come and go. The one thing that remains constant, she says, is the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ and the difference He make in lives. Nancy enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. "I have heard there is nothing like a grandparent's love; well, I can tell you, there is nothing like loving a grandchild. It is truly a special kind of love". info@claytonvalleychurch.com
Nancy finds it hard to have just one life verse, as God's Word is so relevant and it all speaks to her powerfully. "2 Peter 1:3-11 is a wonderful passage, basically saying that God's divine power has given me everything I need to life and godliness. God has not called me to Himself without equipping and instructing me. Praise God!"
Mary Nutting, Receptionist
Mary began working part time in the office April 2005. She and her husband, Ron, came to Clayton Valley Church in June 2004. They have been married almost thirty years and have two college-aged children (young adults). Their son, Ronald, is at The Master's College in Santa Clarita, and their daughter, Lesley, is at CSU, Chico. Ron and Mary are involved in developing and encouraging small groups at Clayton Valley Church. Mary also greatly enjoys working with young children. In her spare time, Mary likes to cook and read. She likes to travel, especially in the Southwest. info@claytonvalleychurch.com
Mary's life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths".
