We enjoyed a spectacular time of celebration this week as a church family commemorating 50 years of ministry. It all started back in 1964 when Pastor Bill Herzog his wife Billie, along with three families, gathered together on this side of Concord in order to begin a new church. They began meeting in the Farm Bureau building on Clayton Road and later were given the opportunity to purchase a two-acre lot on Michigan Blvd.

So much has happened since that time. God has used CVC to touch the lives of people for five decades. All through those years people of all ages have heard the Gospel and turned to Jesus for salvation. Our community has been touched in tangible ways as we have reached out to serve them. Enjoy this twenty minute documentary and take a journey with us 50 years back in time to see to the beginnings of Clayton Valley Church. It starts with our founding pastor describing what it was like to plant a church in Concord, California back in 1964 and concludes with where we are heading as a church family today.
